I Am Sitting On This Chair, Thinking Peace Of Mind, Energy, Harmony, And Good Vibration. That Is Everything I Am Feeling At The Moment. I Also Thought Today Was Wednesday, And It Is Tuesday, But I Guess You Can’t Win It All.

7 tips to creating the best morning routine

How did I get to this point, this moment of peace? It was not by accident. During all the chaos in 2020 and the continued chaos of 2021, I decided to be intentional. I became more conscious of what I consumed, my activities, the content I was exposed to, and even paid $$$ for coaching. Yeah, I know. I decided to reinvent my morning by doing certain things when I wake up before anything else.

Did you read the part where I said, I decided, it is a decision. The point is to reclaim your morning. Before you open up social media apps, emails, or think about all the things you have to do to earn a living, take care of yourself. The first thing you want to do every single morning when you open your eyes or even before you open your eyes is to say, “thank you.”

Gratitude demonstrates respect to your higher self, the universe, and Earth for providing everything you need for the journey. The more gratitude you offer, the more you receive.

For the past few months, I barely needed an alarm to wake me up. I get up before my set time at 4:45 am. Don’t get me wrong; I will fall asleep if I do not get off the bed. Don’t underestimate the power of a morning routine, it can make or break your day. Hope these 7 tips to creating the best morning routine help you.

My routine includes only seven (7) things:

  • Meditation – the first thing I do after expressing gratitude for waking up is meditation.
  • Affirmations – it is vital to affirm the things you wish to be, manifest, or feel. I sometimes repeat affirmations throughout the day. One of my favorites is, “day by day, in every way, I am getting better and better.”
  • Gratitude and prayer – I group those because they go together for me. I have learned the power of appreciation some years ago and have consistently expressed gratitude. However, it became something that I did instead of a heartfelt expression. I changed that. Every morning, I write down ten (10) things I am grateful for, such as opportunities, people, and experiences I already have and some I wish to have. After writing them down, I spend a few minutes praying and sending love into the world.
  • Workout – fitness has been crucial to me. When I exercise in the morning, I notice my mood is better, and I feel more energized. It’s also necessary to get the blood flowing after getting out of bed. It does not mean you need to do vigorous activities, but just a few minutes with the Kettlebell or 5 minutes of strength will wake you up and get the heart pumping. Some people prefer to work out during the evening, which is fine, but still try to get a few minutes of body movement when you wake up.
  • Reading – Study in the morning, especially after your workout when alert. It works best to focus on positive materials and books that will uplift instead of sad and sappy stories.
  • Drinking Water Early – Water helps stimulate your body, cleanse your stomach and soothe your joints. You want to give your body all the good it deserves to keep you moving—drinking water is a start.
  • Have a great breakfast – There are many benefits to having a full, healthy breakfast in the morning, such as healthy skin and good energy. A good breakfast helps with alertness and memory; it can help you concentrate and stay on task.

  1. I love this post! It’s so important to have a morning routine, because it sets you up for the whole day ahead of you! I like how you mentioned becoming more intentional with your time in 2020 because you want to make sure you are living, not just starting the day by checking emails etc. Working out, reading, meditation, and a healthy breakfast are all essentials of my morning routine!
